THE BASEMENT

I woke up in the middle of the night. I was scared….Yet again I heard a very loud noise.

I stepped out of my bed, grabbed my flashlight, and walked quietly into the hallway.

I heard Mike screaming: “Lot! Lot!”. He ran towards me and shaking he said: “D-did you h-hear that sound?’

I whispered: “Be quiet Mike! Grab my hand and we go check what it is”. On their toes, we quietly walked to the basement door. Before we want to open the door, we stood still and again we hear the loud noise, but now the noise was even louder….

Will they be brave enough to enter the dark, cold, and dirty basement?
